I was once a flower girl. It was my aunt Joni’s wedding and I was three years old. I remember being so excited that everyone was coming to see me walk down the isle in my pretty white dress. I also remember lifting my dress over my head so I could yank those tights up during the ceremony. The fans loved it. Joni, not so much.
Weddings are a whole different adventure for these little gals. There is much responsibility and so many people expecting them to perform! Needless to say they are dealing with some serious pressure (unless they’re like I was and see it as a their big debut). Good news is this is one of the very few days where the little miss gets to play dress up, discard very pricey pedals, and have every adult wrapped around her finger. Because the grown ups will do anything to get her down that isle fully clothed and smiling.
For me, connecting with these precious girls is one of the best parts of the job.
