I was in awe most of the time in Alaska. I’ve never been surrounded by so much wildlife all at once. I can now die a happy woman because I have come face to face with humpback whales.
All in the same day we caught our salmon dinner, got up close and personal with multiple whales, watched a bald eagle swoop down and catch his dinner, said hello to sea lions as they swam by, caught 20+ massive crab and saw a black bear! At one point on the boat Heath just yelled “Wildlife!” in absolute disbelief. I can’t wait to go back.
After an amazing hike we took a helicopter ride to see the Mendenhall Glacier. Had no idea it’s 12 miles long! The views of the snow fields and peaks from the chopper were unreal. We even saw a whale from the air!
